Jordan Spieth misses cut, wayward drive off patron costs $20 at Byron Nelson

Jordan Spieth has missed his fourth cut of the season at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson—the event in which he made his PGA Tour debut as a 16-year-old in 2010.

He had a chance to make the weekend at the end of his second round, as he arrived at the par-4 16th hole one shot off the cut-line at 5-under par for the tournament.

But he rifled his tee-shot way right on this 495-yard par-4. And then, somehow, his ball caromed back into the middle of the fairway.

His drive bounced off a patron’s elbow, setting himself up for a much easier second shot into this challenging hole.
