F1: The Movie, the fictional look at Formula 1 starring Brad Pitt as veteran driver Sonny Hayes and produced in part by seven-time Drivers’ Champion Lewis Hamilton, secured four Oscar nominations on Thursday, including a nomination for Best Picture.
The film stars Pitt as Hayes, a driver once hailed as the next biggest thing in the sport, making a return to the grid later in life to drive alongside rookie Joshua Pierce, portrayed by Damson Idris.
