It’s bowl season, and there’s more bowls than a Williams Sonoma. A total of 41 will be played in the coming weeks, ranging from the prestige, legacy games — to the “Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl.” Stunningly a “Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl” isn’t a weed thing.
This is a chance for teams to close out their years with a little prestige. Even a low-level bowl game solidifies a school’s reputation, which can help in recruiting. As meaningless as these seem, they all do have purpose. Of course, the real event is the College Football Playoff, and that’s where all eyes will be.
