WSP says a 19-year-old faces assault, stolen-vehicle and eluding charges after a wrong-way pursuit on I-5.
PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A 19-year-old driver was arrested after a wrong-way pursuit ended with a crash into a Washington State Patrol car on southbound Interstate 5 near State Route 512 early Wednesday, the Washington State Patrol said.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on March 4, according to Washington State Patrol.
Trooper Kameron Watts said the pursuit began with Pierce County deputies after a reported assault.
The driver later went the wrong way onto I-5, which is when the State Patrol became involved, Watts said.
