Wreck clears after car overhangs edge of I-5 in Seattle

SEATTLE — Part of a vehicle hung off of Interstate 5 in downtown Seattle after an accident sent the car partially over the concrete barrier Monday morning. 

The car was towed away shortly before 11:30 a.m., and all lanes reopened. 

At least one person was injured, according to Washington State Patrol Trooper Rick Johnson. The Seattle Fire Department said it rescued one person from the crash. 

The accident prompted a large response from law enforcement, medical and traffic personnel. 

Drivers were asked to take other routes if possible and stay alert if traveling through the area. At one point, the crash blocked three lanes. As
