BRINNON, Wash. — Smoke from two fires burning on the Olympic Peninsula has “settled heavily” over the Hood Canal area, according to local fire officials.
Smoky conditions are expected to last for a while.
Air quality in the Mount Roseman Village area was “hazardous” Tuesday morning, according to the Washington Smoke Blog. Conditions are expected to improve throughout the day but could diminish again in the afternoon and evening.
Hoodsport and parts of Kitsap County are registering in the “moderate” air quality range. The Puget Sound Clean Air Agency recommends sensitive groups
