Westlake Park to close for major renovation through spring 2026

The last time the park was renovated was in 2013.

SEATTLE — Westlake Park will close to the public beginning early October 2025 through spring 2026 as construction begins on a comprehensive renovation project. Access will be maintained to all businesses and properties adjacent to the park during the closure.

Westlake Park sits at the center of Seattle’s downtown core and serves as a critical transit hub connecting downtown offices, residents, and tourists. The park links major regional destinations including Seattle Center via the Monorail, the Summit Convention Center, Pike Place Market, the new Seattle Waterfront Park, and the South Lake Union tech corridor.
