SEATTLE — A West Seattle restaurant is speaking out after facing online backlash that staff say is tied to the owner’s background, not anything the business has said or done.
Employees at Falafel Salam say criticism began late last year and has since escalated online, with people making assumptions about the restaurant because its owner, Shimi Kahn, was born in Israel.
