The bomb cyclone brought high winds, rain and snow, with hurricane-strength gusts battering parts of the region. Gusts peaked at more than 70 mph and brought with them a chaotic night of destruction in Western Washington.
Destructive high winds began impacting East King County on Tuesday evening, with the strongest gusts hitting in the evening of Nov. 19, 2024. Much of the damage was in the east Puget Sound area, including Enumclaw, Bellevue and Snoqualmie. Island and coastal counties also felt the brunt of the storm.
