SEATTLE — The war in Gaza may be nearing its end. 

Israel and Hamas have agreed to the first phase of a peace plan brokered by the United States, marking what could be a turning point in the conflict.

Several key issues remain unresolved, including whether Hamas will disarm and who will ultimately govern Gaza. And while the agreement could bring increased humanitarian aid, it does not guarantee that all Gazans will have access to food.
