Washington state lawmakers to focus in on immigration in legislative session

OLYMPIA, Wash. — Immigration enforcement and how Washington should respond to federal actions are emerging as top priorities for lawmakers at the state Capitol as the legislative session gets underway.

Several immigration enforcement-related measures are already on the docket, following a recent University of Washington report that found federal immigration agents still have access to Washington driver data from the state Department of Licensing.
