OLYMPIA, Wash. — A Washington family at the center of a high-profile missing persons case is taking its fight to state lawmakers, nearly a year after their autistic son disappeared from his Arlington home.
On Tuesday morning in Olympia, the family will testify in support of Senate Bill 6070, a proposal that would create “Purple Alerts” for missing adults with cognitive or developmental disabilities, hoping the change could prevent other families from enduring the same uncertainty and heartbreak.
