KING COUNTY, Wash. — Weeks after historic flooding devastated communities across western Washington, families are still grappling with extensive damage as disaster assistance centers open across the region to help with recovery efforts.
Gov. Bob Ferguson announced Friday an additional $2.5 million in state disaster funding to help families affected by December’s flooding cover immediate needs while they await federal assistance. The funding is part of $3.5 million unlocked through Ferguson’s disaster declaration.
