SEATTLE — The Washington state attorney general (AG) is suing Seattle Public Schools, alleging the district failed to accommodate pregnant and nursing employees, and in some cases, retaliated against them for seeking accommodations in the first place.
The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in King County Superior Court.
An investigation by the AG’s office found the district failed to provide legally required accommodations for pregnant and nursing employees, like flexible restroom breaks, modified work schedules and the option to sit down more frequently.
