Two women killed after bus ‘unintentionally’ backs into them in Seattle parking lot

The driver remained at the scene and is not under arrest, police say.

SEATTLE — Two elderly women were struck and killed in a Seattle parking lot Tuesday after a bus “unintentionally” backed into them.

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) says officers determined the driver backed into a designated smoking area, striking and killing two women at a building on Terrace Street. A third woman “narrowly escaped the crash” and police say she was not injured.
