Two suspects sentenced after woman killed in Puyallup attempted robbery

Gianna Stone, 22, was shot in the head and killed during the attempted robbery, according to police.

PUYALLUP, Wash. — Two suspects accused of shooting and killing a woman in Puyallup last year were sentenced to prison Wednesday after they pleaded guilty to charges. 

The Puyallup Police Department was called to 10th Avenue Northwest on Feb. 25, 2024, for reports of gunshots around 9 p.m. Puyallup police said they found shell cartridges in the street but no victims from a shooting. Around 10 minutes later, Gianna Stone, 22, checked into a Tacoma hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. Police said Stone died at the hospital.
