SEATTLE — A longtime downtown Seattle shop owner says she’s starting the new year with heartbreak and anxiety after her store was broken into twice within days.
Maggie’s Shoes, located near Pike Place Market on Virginia Street and First Avenue, was hit by burglars on Dec. 29, 2025, around 4 a.m. when someone used a rock to smash a window. Owner Zhulian Zhao said the thief grabbed merchandise before quickly taking off.
