TACOMA, Wash. — The Trump administration is reportedly considering cuts to a federal grant program aimed a providing access to Naloxone, which can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.
A Tacoma-based substance use disorder professional said such a move could have serious consequences.
“It’s just going to cause more casualties. Overdose deaths are going to go up,” said Jodi Borrelli, who is also a recovering heroin addict.
The proposal was reported by CNN after the reviewing previously leaked documents.
