OLYMPIA, Wash. — With chants, signs and speeches from the Capitol steps, thousands gathered in Olympia on Saturday to send a message from Washington state to Washington, D.C.
“We don’t support him,” said Joan Crenshaw, referring to President Donald Trump.
Crenshaw was one of an estimated 5,000 people attending the “No Kings” demonstration on the Capitol campus — one of several rallies held across the region. Prior to the event, protesters marched through downtown Olympia.
