SEATTLE — Severe wind gusts hit western Washington overnight, causing thousands of power outages and knocking trees down across the region.
Up at Alpental Ski Area, the National Weather Service (NWS) says it recorded a wind gust of 112 mph early Wednesday morning. In a report, the NWS highlighted 30 different stations that recorded gusts of at least 50 mph overnight.
