The Humane Society reopened quickly after flood, keeping animals safe and services intact.
TACOMA, Wash. — The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County is asking for help as it copes with tens of thousands of dollars in repairs due to flood damage.
Despite the incident, staff and volunteers are working to make sure the shelter is open for animals and the community.
“It is tough to see a place where so many magical and happy moments occur in this condition,” said Lauren Green, the director of communications of Humane Society for Tacoma and Pierce County.
