The Cascadia Subduction Zone looks a little different than researchers thought. Here’s what that means for ‘The Big One’

Although the hazards may be different, that does not mean the risk is less, according to researchers.

SEATTLE — Newly-released research led by the University of Washington (UW) showed that a feature scientists hypothesized was present along the Cascadia Subduction Zone is missing in places.
