SEATTLE — Temporary gates, security barriers and added staffing are proposed at Lumen Field for the 2026 FIFA World Cup under a proposed safety plan.
Planning documents outline changes on the stadium’s west side, where large crowds are expected to exit through Gates 4 and 5. The intent is to reduce the risk of crowd congestion by giving spectators space to gather temporarily if exits slow.
