Teens arrested after shooting near Franklin High School

Seattle police arrested two teens with a handgun near Franklin High School after shots were fired, prompting school lockdowns.

SEATTLE — Seattle police arrested two teenage boys following a shooting in the Mount Baker neighborhood Wednesday afternoon, while a search for two additional suspects remains ongoing.

Just before 1:00 p.m., patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 3300 block of Wetmore Avenue South, where they recovered multiple spent shell casings. Witnesses reported seeing two teens fleeing the area, and responding officers quickly caught and detained them.
