Detectives began investigating after the infant was brought to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
TACOMA, Wash. — A Tacoma infant’s February death has now been ruled a homicide, according to the Tacoma Police Department and the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police said officers responded to the emergency department at Tacoma General Hospital around 6:52 p.m. Feb. 10 after an infant was brought in and later pronounced dead.
Officers spoke with medical staff and the person who took the infant to the hospital.
Detectives with the Tacoma Police Department’s Investigations Bureau responded because the case involved the death of an infant.
