GIG HARBOR, Wash. — The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department is investigating a suspected norovirus outbreak that sickened dozens of students and staff at a Gig Harbor elementary school.
Multiple students at Discovery Elementary School in Gig Harbor showed signs of gastroenteritis on Thursday, according to the Peninsula School District. Staff sent the ill students home and notified the health department when the number of absences reached the reporting threshold.
