The suspect, a 21-year-old woman, left the area on foot before officers arrived and was not immediately located.
SEATTLE — Seattle police are investigating a stabbing reported Thursday evening in the Central District.
Just before 7 p.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 1800 block of South Jackson Street. Police found a woman inside an apartment suffering from stab wounds.
Seattle Fire Department medics treated the victim at the scene and transported her to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition. She underwent emergency surgery, according to police.
