Suspect pleads not guilty in Burien crash that killed man, seriously injured child

Authorities said the suspect was evading deputies in a stolen vehicle when it crashed with a jeep, killing the driver and sending a 5-year-old to the hospital.

BURIEN, Wash. — The man arrested in connection to a crash that killed a man and injured a child in Burien in February made his first court appearance on Wednesday.

Pedro Garcia pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and felony hit and run on Wednesday. He is being held on a $500,000 bail. His next court hearing is scheduled for March 27.
