Suspect intentionally guns down young father outside church near UW, witnesses and police say

The suspect was seen fleeing in a white Hyundai Elantra with black wheels and a shattered front passenger window.

SEATTLE — Seattle police say the shooting that left a 28-year-old man dead near the University of Washington on Thursday evening appears to have been targeted.

At the University District scene, Police Chief Shon Barnes said officers attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene. The suspect was seen fleeing in a white Hyundai Elantra with black wheels and a shattered front passenger window.
