Ellensburg police said one person was fatally shot on Friday afternoon, causing Central Washington University to issue a shelter-in-place order.
ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Ellensburg police said Friday they had identified and were tracking the man wanted in the fatal shooting of another person.
Shortly after noon, police responded to the 100 block of West University Way where they found a person with serious gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said.
Police said the two knew each other.
