The theater is one of only 54 single screen, independent theaters remaining in the United States.
EDMONDS, Wash. — When the Edmonds Theater first opened 102 years ago, the iconic “Hollywood” sign had just been erected in California, Charlie Chaplin was a star, and The Hunchback of Notre Dame was the main attraction on the screen.
Today, that film has been replaced by the latest Pixar project, but the theater remains.
“It’s a weird thing to think about how many people have stood where I am,” said Justin Pritchett, who runs the theater.
