Sureño gang member arrested for ramming Border Patrol vehicle in Whatcom County

The arrest came two weeks after the Oct. 15 incident, when a Border Patrol agent and another driver were injured after their vehicles collided during a pursuit.

LYNDEN, Wash. — Federal agents arrested a Mexican national and Sureño gang member accused of ramming a Border Patrol vehicle and injuring two people during an Oct. 15 pursuit in Whatcom County.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident on Oct. 29 in Lynden by U.S. Border Patrol agents from the Pacific Northwest Special Operations Detachment and Homeland Security Investigations agents.
