Summer food program: Where kids can find free, low-cost meals in Seattle

To ensure all Seattle kids are getting healthy meals during the summer months, local schools, nonprofits and other organizations are working together to feed kids.

Seattle Public Schools will provide free or reduced lunches Monday through Friday at several of its locations. The sack breakfasts and lunches are prepared by SPS’s nutritional team, the menu for which can be found on the program’s website.

In order to qualify for the program, parents need to apply online. Students can then pick up meals at any of the district’s sites; parents or guardians can also pick up meals without a student present. If an adult is delivering meals to non-family members
