Storm damage limiting operations at Regional Animal Services of King County

Storm damage at the King County animal shelter has led to reduced operations, forcing a focus on urgent animal cases.

KENT, Wash. — The Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) is limiting operations after storm damage wiped out more than half of the cat housing.

Falling trees severely damaged the shelter’s cat building and the structure was deemed unsafe for occupancy. 

Shelter officials said the loss of space has had an immediate impact on their ability to care for animals and serve the public.
