Stolen guns, pounds of meth recovered in Pierce County after standoff arrest

TACOMA, Wash. — An hours-long standoff as officers attempted to serve a search warrant in Tacoma ended without any bloodshed but did lead to the seizure of pounds of meth and multiple stolen firearms along with a live grenade.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said Pierce County and Tacoma SWAT units were serving a search warrant on behalf of the Snohomish County Regional Drug Task Force just after 6 a.m. on March 6. Upon arrival of the units, SCSO said multiple people were removed from the residence.
