Witnesses told investigators the driver went on and off the shoulder and nearly collided with other vehicles; the driver forced at least six vehicles from the road.
CHEHALIS, Wash. — A man accused of stealing a dump truck from a Lewis County roofing company led law enforcement on a dangerous multi-county pursuit Friday before crashing near Shelton, according to Washington State Patrol.
Trooper Katherine Weatherwax said the call came in around 9:30 a.m. reporting a dump truck, marked with “Top Weather Roofing,” driving erratically. The vehicle, reported stolen from Lewis County earlier in the morning, entered Kitsap County from state Route 16 at a high speed.
