State withdrew trauma therapy three months before Western State patient’s body found

KING 5 has obtained exclusive information about the man who allegedly died by suicide by jumping from a crane at the state’s biggest psychiatric hospital.

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Court records show the state cut off 39-year-old Pavel Kolchick, who’d lived at Washington state-run psychiatric hospitals for 18 years, from recommended trauma therapy three months before he died in what appears to be a suicide.
