“Harbor Heights” is replacing “The Hole” at the Aberdeen prison.
GRAYS HARBOR, Wash. — The state plans on moving eight men, convicted of crimes as juveniles, into a former solitary confinement unit at a state prison next month.
The men, all over the age of 18, will be coming from Green Hill School, the state’s only maximum security juvenile rehabilitation center.
Green Hill has been housing more offenders than what’s considered safe for more than a year, according to the Washington Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF).
