SEATTLE — Starbucks says it will lay off “approximately 900” employees and close many of its open positions as part of a major restructuring.
The company says its total number of locations in North America will decline “by about 1%” in fiscal year 2025. The company will have “nearly 18,300 total Starbucks locations” at year end, 124 fewer than the prior year.
