After contacting KING 5 in 2023, a local woman learned her photos of her mother with Barack Obama’s mother will be displayed at the Obama Presidential Center.
STANWOOD, Wash. — Megan Dascher-Watkins always keeps her mom’s memory close at heart.
Jill Burton-Dascher died in 2021.
“I miss her so much,” Dascher-Watkins said. When Dascher-Watkins was planning her mom’s memorial, she found a box of photos.
“I had no idea what I had, though. No idea,” she said.
