SR 2 near Everett reopened following serious crash with fire

When firefighters arrived, they found the overturned vehicle engulfed in flames and worked to extinguish the fire.

SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A single-vehicle rollover crash on state Route 2 near Everett has left two people in serious condition and closed the westbound lanes temporarily Wednesday afternoon.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound on SR 2 when it failed to navigate the roadway and went from the east trestle to the bottom trestle, creating two separate crash scenes, according to Washington State Patrol (WSP). The incident occurred on the overpass to the trestle around 12:01 p.m.
