SEATTLE — Brief bursts of lowland snow are possible late Tuesday night into early Wednesday across parts of western Washington, mainly in Snohomish, King and Pierce counties.

Heavier showers could briefly turn to snow, with the best chances in foothill communities and higher terrain east of Puget Sound.
