SNOHOMISH, Wash. — A massive cleanup effort is underway across Snohomish County after heavy rainfall pushed rivers over their banks — flooding homes, roads, and businesses. In the city of Snohomish, the Snohomish River crested above 34 feet late last week, soaking entire neighborhoods and leaving behind thick mud and debris.
Just a few dozen feet from the river, Gagnon Welding 42 Inc. is among the businesses hit hardest. On Friday, floodwaters reached about three feet high at the shop’s entrance door. By Saturday
