Eastview Village would bring thousands of new people to the once quiet community of Cathcart.
CATHCART, Wash. — Courtney Privett drives her son to school every day because administrators at Little Cedars Elementary won’t allow children to walk due to treacherous traffic conditions.
“It’s just really dangerous,” Privett said.
Now, a proposed housing development could make those conditions even worse. The Eastview Village project would bring more than 1,300 houses and apartments, along with 61,000 square feet of retail space, to a 145-acre site.
That’s the equivalent of 110 football fields or 58 city blocks.
