Small plane crashes into hangar at Harvey Airfield

SNOHOMISH, Wash. — A small plane crashed into a hangar at Harvey Airfield on Saturday, but both people on board walked away without injuries. The incident occurred at approximately 5:00 p.m., according to Snohomish County Fire District #4.

A second aircraft inside the hangar sustained damage in the crash, and a minor fuel leak was reported, which crews contained using absorbent material. Despite the incident, the airport continued operating normally for other air traffic.

The cause of the runway departure has not yet been determined. Both the FAA and NTSB have been notified and are expected to investigate.
