Law enforcement ended a high-speed chase after a domestic assault suspect evaded capture, prioritizing victim safety over continued pursuit.
CHEHALIS, Wash. — A dramatic law enforcement pursuit unfolded after Chehalis Tribal Police reported witnessing an alleged domestic assault near the Lucky Eagle Casino in Chehalis.
Officers said “a female was seen being slammed onto the ground by a male before the car fled a traffic stop and the female could not get out,” according to a social media post by Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders describing the incident.
