Sheriff: Decker still considered alive as new leads emerge

Law enforcement agencies are investigating several new leads, including a reported sighting near the unincorporated community of Teanaway in Kittitas County.

WENATCHEE, Wash. — Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison says his office continues to treat Travis Decker — the suspect in a triple homicide — as alive and actively evading capture, nearly three weeks into an expansive manhunt.

“We’ll eventually get to find him,” Morrison told KING 5 Wednesday, adding that search efforts span more than 2,900 square miles. “It may be in a week, it may be in a couple of years, but we’re not going to go away.”
