Seattle's Space Needle cancels in-person New Year's Eve fireworks third year in a row; replaced by virtual celebration

The Space Needle announced this week that in-person fireworks will not take place in Seattle on New Year’s Eve. Instead, the Space Needle will show a virtual-only fireworks display with additional special effects that can only be seen on screen.

This is the third year in a row the Space Needle has canceled its in-person New Year’s Eve fireworks show.
