Seattle’s Pacific Science Center celebrates Women’s History Month with special exhibit

SEATTLE — The Pacific Science Center is hosting a new exhibit honoring women in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).

“We want to create opportunities for people to see themselves in STEM careers,” said Cailee Smith, the exhibit’s developer.

Smith said the exhibit has videos to learn about STEM careers.

There are also six statues of Pacific Northwest women who have left their mark on the STEM fields. The statues are from the #IfThenSheCan exhibit – part of a greater collection of 120 sculptures. Each represents a contemporary female innovator in STEM.
