Canadian athlete Julia Gosling achieves her dream of joining the celebrated national women’s hockey team at the Winter Olympic Games.
SEATTLE — The Canadian women’s hockey team has won five gold medals over the past six Winter Olympics.
Since 1990, the Canadians have also won 13 World Championships. They are once again the team to beat at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games and a local athlete is on the roster.
The Canadians won 5-1 over Czechia on Monday, on top of its 4-0 win over Switzerland on Feb. 7. Canada faces Team USA on Tuesday, Feb. 10.
